Animals are not our use !!
Ahimsa can not be learned by reading books or doing rituals but it can be learned by practice only. Ofcourse, Ahimsa is much more dynamic than practicing Vegan life. Ahimsa is in the nucleus of Vegan life. By living Vegan life one can feel satisfied. Animals are not for ours to eat/use/wear/fun/testing they exist for their own reasons. Go Vegan and practice live and let live. It is true and complete vegetarian life.
