As a vegan, life is interesting. You always search and research most of the things. Long live nature. Long live all the creations of God.

Proud to be Vegan!
I turned vegan in April, 2008 – I’m a “recent” vegan! I remember reading about Veganism being very good as an energy boost on popular personal development website. To find out more about it, I researched the Net and came across the Indianvegan.com site. From that point of time it was only a matter of time. And, well, I have certainly lost weight! Also I honestly feel good about becoming a vegan. I thought I would NEVER be able to give up tea – particularly tea with milk and ginger and the works. I guess that was hard but then it hasn’t been THAT hard too. I have completely given up milk sweets and milk products and that’s not been terribly difficult either. I’m 38, by the way! and I haven’t measured my weight but the weight loss is very noticeable considering the comments I have been getting. The best part was the drastic reduction of the waist-line! I don’t have a particularly "favourite vegan dish – but I am very partial to salads. And my favourite dessert, now that I’m vegan, I guess my choice would be a sweet item endemic to Tamizh Nadu – it is called Manoharam, made out of rice and urad dal flour, fried in oil and then dipped in jaggery syrup – yummy! Another would be the jaggery sweets made of rice flakes during the Kartikai deepam festival. I have started avoiding sweets made of sugar.
